U.S. pre-workout records

Ask what’s actually in your pre-workout.

A formula can change while the name and the reviews stay the same. We keep the dated labels, so you can check.

A real answer

This is what you get back.

Not a summary of a page we read while you waited. A dated before-and-after we already held, with both sources attached and the limits of the record stated on the same screen.

QUESTION

Did C4 Original change?

CONFIRMED

Yes. Cellucor C4 Original moved to a new formula between Jan 25, 2024 and Feb 26, 2024, and both states are on file.

EVIDENCE SOURCES

The window is based on nearest archived canonical states, not manufacture dates. Shopify metadata points to a likely February 20 DTC publication, and the legacy formula later coexisted on a hidden live page.

How it works

The research happens before you ask the question.

We are not searching the web while you wait. The labels, prices, and versions are already on file, captured and dated before your question arrived. Ask something and this is the path through the record.

  1. 01

Identify the exact product and version

Flavor, size, and formula generation, because a rename is not a reformulation.

  2. 02

Retrieve the labels already on file

The current declared label plus every dated archived state we hold for it.

  3. 03

Compare the labels and calculate serving economics

Declared amounts normalized against each other, then cost per serving and per month.

  4. 04

Check published research and regulatory records

Declared doses against the doses used in the research we hold, plus any documented caution or regulatory filing on an ingredient.

  5. 05

Return the answer with sources, confidence, and limits

Every operation that ran is shown, and every one that did not is shown as skipped.

4 of these depend on permitted experience records. We hold none yet, so they do not run and no answer on this site draws on them.

If the work was already done, the interface says it is reading the FormulaSignal Brain. It does not say it is searching a platform when no request left our servers, and it never adds a fake delay or a counter that is not a real count.

The record

What sits behind those numbers.

We hold 56 source captures. Only 38 of them carry an observation date, and only those can date a change. A page saved today proves what a label says today, never what it said last year, so the other 18 stay on file as evidence and are never used to date anything.

14

PANELS CONFIRMED

Of 23 covered products, 14 have a printed Supplement Facts panel complete enough to compute against. The other 9 are on file with their sources, and an answer says so rather than guessing.

25

INGREDIENT DOSSIERS

Behind them, 34 citations from published research or a regulator, plus 15 secondary or interested-party references, each attributed to whoever published it.

$0.83 to $2.95

COST PER SERVING, OBSERVED

Median $1.50, from dated captures rather than a range we estimated.

175 to 388 mg

DECLARED CAFFEINE RANGE

Per serving across the covered set. The spread is wider than most people assume, which is the point.

OPEN SOURCE ANOMALIES

Conflicts we found and have not resolved. We publish these rather than quietly picking whichever source we prefer.

EXPERIENCE EVIDENCE

What buyers reported is not part of any answer today. All 16 source platforms are documented and every connector stays off until its licensing is cleared. Until then we hold 0 records and say so.

What you get

Every covered product is held to the same standard.

Same sections, same order, whatever the verdict turns out to be, so two reports can be read side by side. 16 sections in six parts. The first reports are in human review now, and none goes public until a named reviewer signs the evidence behind it and timestamps the release.

  • Bottom line from the record

4 of the 16 are marked not yet. Three are built from what buyers reported and we hold no permitted experience records. The fourth is the scored components: six weighted measures, one of which is that same experience signal, and a total is never shown while any one of them has no data. A score missing one of its six inputs is a guess wearing a number.

Limits

What we will and will not do.

Most supplement sites answer everything. That is how you end up with a review count standing in for a safety finding. Here is the line, written down.

WE WILL

  • Tell you exactly what the current label declares
  • Show a change only when dated, like-for-like states verify it
  • Calculate cost per serving and cost per month
  • Compare declared amounts against doses used in published research
  • Group permitted user experience only after source rights are verified and licensed
  • Say INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE when that is the honest answer

WE WILL NOT

  • Diagnose anything or give you a dosing protocol
  • Claim reviews prove a product is safe or effective, because they cannot
  • Publish a lab or content claim we have not verified
  • Rank on affiliate economics, disclosed or not
  • Accept payment for a conclusion, a score, or a placement
  • Show a percentage without its denominator

Private beta

Ask is open. Reports stay private until human review is complete.

Ask reads only the records we have checked and cleared to publish. Reports, saved watchlists, and formula-change alerts stay in a small private beta until each control is ready.
