Did Transparent Labs BULK change its formula?

THE SHORT ANSWER

Yes. Citrulline malate 6 to 8 g, between the label states FormulaSignal observed on August 19, 2022 and March 16, 2025. It also moved l-theanine 360 to 200 mg; potassium 100 to 130 mg; sodium 150 to 180 mg. Those are observation dates; the exact day the brand changed it is not established.

CONFIRMEDReviewed October 5, 2026

On Transparent Labs' own Tropical Punch label, citrulline malate went from 6,000 mg to 8,000 mg and caffeine from 180 mg to 200 mg, with caffeine anhydrous replaced by PurCaf organic caffeine from green coffee bean. The 4,000 mg of instantized BCAAs is gone, and so are vitamin D3 75 mcg, Infinergy 30 mg and AstraGin 25 mg. L-theanine dropped from 360 mg to 200 mg and zinc from 30 mg to 10 mg. SenActiv 50 mg and BioPerine 5 mg are new. Beta-alanine 4,000 mg, betaine 2,500 mg, taurine 1,300 mg, tyrosine 1,000 mg, Alpha-GPC 300 mg and theobromine 50 mg did not move.

FormulaSignal observed the earlier state on August 19, 2022 and the newer state on March 16, 2025. Those are observation dates, not the date the brand made the change.

RECORDED COMMERCIAL CONTEXT

The scoop went from 23.44 g to 21.4 g and the tub still holds 30 servings. The caffeine line rose 11.1%, from 180 mg to 200 mg; the earlier label also carried 30 mg of Infinergy, a caffeine salt, so total caffeine from every source is not compared. Neither endpoint carries a price.

Limits and review

What this change does not tell you.

Limitations

  • The evidence establishes an observation window, not an exact reformulation date.
  • An observation date is the date FormulaSignal read a source. It is not a manufacture date and not the date a change was made.
  • Both endpoints are the brand's own Tropical Punch label images at 30 servings, so the comparison is like for like on flavor. The window is two archive observation dates, not a launch date. The brand's own product page already listed the 8,000 mg citrulline malate, PurCaf and SenActiv lineup by 2023-03-24 and was still listing the 6,000 mg formula on 2023-02-04, which places the switch on the product page in February or March 2023; those page lists are not used as endpoints because the 2022 page text and the 2022 label images on the same page disagreed about which formula was current. Tubs of the earlier formula may have stayed on retail shelves after the switch. This is an agent-reviewed Signal and does not count toward the human-reviewed Signal target.
  • An ingredient stated as removed or added is a difference between two label declarations that were each read in full. It is not evidence about what the product contains beyond what its label declares, and it is not a manufacturing date.
  • At least one endpoint did not record its claim set in full, so a claim present on one side and absent on the other is non-disclosure rather than removal.
  • At least one endpoint did not record its certification set in full, so a certification present on one side and absent on the other is non-disclosure rather than removal.
