What it means
Same name, different label.
What we found
On Codeage's own Liposomal Creatine Capsules Supplement Facts panel, creatine monohydrate went from 3,000 mg to 2,500 mg per 4-capsule serving. The serving (4 capsules) and 90 servings per container did not move. The other ingredients list changed too: the earlier panel listed a methylcellulose capsule and non-GMO sunflower oil (containing phosphatidylcholine; liposomal delivery matrix), and the newer one lists a methylcellulose capsule, ascorbyl palmitate, Codeage Helix liposomal delivery (phospholipids from non-GMO sunflower lecithin), microcrystalline cellulose and silicon dioxide.
What we can’t tell you yet
The 2025 endpoint is the brand's own panel image (LiposomalCreatineCapsules_SF_square) served by the Wayback Machine on 2025-06-12 and placed in the product tab content of the archived Liposomal Creatine Capsules page of 2025-01-23. The 2026 endpoint is the panel (Liposomal_Creatine_Capsules_360ct_SF_NEW) preserved from the current product page on 2026-10-31; the current page no longer references the earlier panel file. Neither panel names a flavor and the product is sold unflavored. Each panel was read twice independently with every field agreeing. Other ingredients are reported as printed and are not dose claims. The window is two observation dates, not a launch or manufacture date, and bottles with the earlier label may remain on shelves. No laboratory testing is claimed.

- Studied range
- 3,000 to 5,000 mg
Study details and limits
- Protocol and duration
- per day maintenance, after an optional loading phase
- Studied context
- The ISSN 2017 position stand calls creatine monohydrate "the most effective ergogenic nutritional supplement currently available to athletes" for increasing high-intensity/intermittent exercise capacity and lean body mass during training. It also describes research into post-exercise recovery, injury prevention, thermoregulation, rehabilitation, concussion/spinal-cord neuroprotection, and use in clinical populations (aging-related sarcopenia, neurodegenerative disease, type 2 diabetes glycemic control), while noting creatine is "of little value" for pure endurance sports (per NIH ODS).
- Limitations
- ISSN 2017 states it is not yet established whether other creatine forms (e.g., creatine nitrate, or precursors like guanidinoacetic acid/GAA) produce greater muscle or brain creatine uptake than monohydrate. This is described as an active area of research, not a settled finding.
