Your tub
Use the final price, including delivery.
For this exact tub size.
Protein grams, not scoop weight.

Example result

$1.50

Cost per 25 g of protein

Per label serving
$1.50
Per gram of protein
$0.0600

30 servings × 25 g = 750 g of protein per tub.

25 g is a comparison unit, not an intake recommendation. All prices use the selected currency; no currency conversion.

How it works

The same protein.
A fairer price comparison.

Match the price, serving count and protein amount to the same tub size and flavor. Use the protein line on the Nutrition Facts panel, rather than the scoop weight.

Cost per gram of protein = tub price ÷ (servings per tub × protein grams per serving)

Cost per serving = tub price ÷ servings per tub

Cost per 25 g of protein = cost per gram × 25

A cheaper tub can cost more per gram

Illustrative example: Tub A costs $45 for 30 servings with 25 g of protein each. Tub B costs $40 for 30 servings with 20 g each.

Example prices and label quantities, not real product quotes
CostTub ATub B
Per serving$1.50$1.33
Per gram of protein$0.0600$0.0667
Per 25 g of protein$1.50$1.67

Tub B has the lower sticker price, but Tub A costs less for the same amount of protein. This is price arithmetic on the numbers you enter, not a product rating or verification of what is in your tub.

Questions

A few useful answers.

How do you calculate cost per gram of protein?

Divide the tub price by the number of servings, then divide by the protein grams per serving. For a $45 tub with 30 servings and 25 g of protein per serving, that is $45 ÷ (30 × 25) = $0.06 per gram of protein.

Why compare cost per 25 g of protein instead of cost per scoop?

Scoops can contain different amounts of protein. Comparing the cost of the same 25 g of protein makes the price difference clear. The 25 g figure is only a comparison unit, not a recommended amount to take.

Is protein per serving the same as scoop weight?

No. Use the grams on the protein line of the Nutrition Facts panel. A 35 g serving of powder might declare 25 g of protein. If the label serving is two scoops, use the protein and serving count for that two-scoop serving.

Does this work for whey, casein and plant protein?

Yes. The same arithmetic works for any powder with a declared protein amount and a serving count. Compare the price and label for the same package size and flavor. A lower cost does not establish quality, safety or effectiveness.

Should I include discounts, tax and delivery?

Use the final price you would pay for that tub, including any discount, tax and delivery you want to compare. Use the same currency for both tubs. The calculator does not fetch store prices or convert currencies.

Do I need an account, and are my numbers saved?

No account is needed. The calculator runs in your browser; it does not submit or save the prices and label quantities you enter. Reloading starts with the clearly marked example.
